"And you may find yourself
In another part of the world
And you may ask yourself,
'Well... how did I get here?'"

- Talking Heads, 1980
You probably got here because I sent you this link.
Me? That's a little more complicated.
The truth is I never really planned my career. After completing a Bachelor of Art Theory and aborting my Master's, I stumbled around looking for something to keep me occupied during slow days as a legal assistant. What I landed upon was an internship writing beauty advertorials and celebrity news pieces for a women's lifestyle website.
Under the wing of the best mentor I could have asked for, I was pushed into the world of branded content. I started building pitch decks, developing creative strategy, creating social marketing campaigns, and more. And discovered that this world sat in the middle of the same venn diagram that I did — right in the middle of creativity and pragmatism.
Half a decade later, I moved to a new country (G'day USA). I stopped bleaching my hair (thank God, capital G). I learned to lead a team. I switched coasts and became an accidental New Yorker. I got older and wiser and calmer. Another half-decade (more? I got old enough to stop counting) passed me by and I made my way back to Australa.
And here I am. A creative, brand, and content strategist, leader, writer, thinker, and problem solver still asking myself, "Well... how did I get here?"

Yep, that's a cake of Baby Spice's iconic platform shoe.
